Sloop
Sloop is an Australian tech rental start-up operating in the rapidly evolving consumer electronics space. The brand empowers everyday users with access to the latest technology through a flexible subscription model, rewarding long-term subscribers with lower costs and offering short-term users adaptable plans.
Their offering spans a wide range of devices, including smartphones, computers, cameras, VR and gaming equipment, wearables, and e-bikes, making cutting-edge technology accessible without the need for ownership.
Work
The “rent-to-buy” model for electronics is still in its introductory phase in Australia. There’s several users hesitant to engage in an online subscription process and shipping over just purchasing devices in person. Despite strong search engine visibility, the website struggled with low conversion rates.
I revised the website copy to clearly communicate Sloop’s model, value proposition, and benefits in concise, easily digestible sections. The copy was designed to reduce friction, explain the subscription process quickly, and guide users toward confident decision-making.

Using SEMrush, I researched high-volume keywords within the tech category and aligned content creation with product launch dates to maximise search visibility and audience engagement.
